My Art Journal

I have always had an art journal just by accident. For years, my sketchbooks and journals always had images and things pasted and taped to the pages. Only recently have I discovered the terms, "Art Journal," "Junk Journal" and "Smash Journal."

So I decided to purposefully create an art journal and treat it as such. Its random, its simple, its elaborate, its all sorts of things depending on the mood I am in from page to page. Here is a gallery of the pages so far.

Disney's Cinderella Big Golden Book

Movie Life Magazine - August, 1939

This is a very rare copy of a magazine that came out to promote the movie, the Wizard of Oz in 1939. The cover photo is rare apparently because there were no other movie magazine covers with Judy Garland portraying Dorothy. I stumbled on it on eBay and scooped it up. It is considered by some Garland and Wizard of Oz collectors as the "Holy Grail."
